Accelerating the Transition to a Regenerative Future through Innovation

The Faculty of Engineering Technology of The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) is proud to organize the IC2ESE 3rd International Conference on Circular Economy and Sustainable Ecosystem (IC2ESE 2026). The conference will be held on 26th November 2026 at The Open University of Sri Lanka, Nawala premises. The conference will also be available online only for foreign participants. This conference serves as a global platform for experts, policymakers, industry leaders, academics, and innovators to converge and explore the transformative power of the circular economy in fostering a resilient and sustainable future. IC2ESE aims to delve deep into these themes, focusing on the intersection of circular economy principles and sustainable ecosystem management. By highlighting successful case studies, cutting-edge research, and practical solutions, the conference will showcase how circular economy practices can drive green recovery in the post-pandemic world. Topics such as Clean Energy Transitions & Decarbonized Power Systems, Circular Material Flows & Sustainable Resource Stewardship, Ecosystem Health & Climate Resilience Strategies, Governance/Ethics and Strategic Policy Frameworks will be thoroughly explored, providing attendees with comprehensive insights into the pathways towards a sustainable and inclusive economy. The accepted papers will be eligible to be included in the Springer Nature Journal published by the Faculty of Engineering.

This track focuses on technological shift required to fuel a circular economy without carbon costs.

Circular Material Flows & Sustainable Resource Stewardship

This track focuses on how we manage, recover, and rethink the lifecycle of physical resources.
